That feedback inspired the Porcupine Thumb Stud Version — keeping the same trusted build and bold character, now with a smoother, faster, and more intuitive opening experience.

The Top Liner Lock allows smooth, one-handed operation and a secure lock-up, keeping fingers away from the blade path during use. The nearly hidden lock bar is integrated inside the handle with a stainless-steel plate and reinforced by a solid steel backspacer for added rigidity. The new thumb stud design allows controlled opening while maintaining the Porcupine's handling and balance.

The generous blade belly makes slicing tasks—such as cutting meat, fruits, and vegetables—easy. The pointy tip provides precision for detailed work such as opening packages, cutting ropes, or slicing through cardboard. The blade offers edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance — suitable for both EDC and outdoor use.

With its wide handle, the Porcupine fits comfortably in medium to large hands. The forward choil allows multiple grip positions, while the dedicated handle choil helps prevent slippage during heavy use. The barrel lanyard tube adds convenience for carrying, retrieving, and storing the knife while adding structural support to the handle.
